So, I know a few basic things about these herbs, but I was wondering if anyone has any other information on their uses not only magically, but also medically and other things.

Mugwort
Petuilli
Sage
Dragon's Blood Resin
Ginseng

You could make tinctures with Mugwort, Sage, and Ginseng if you haven't tried that before.

Mugwort - Against nervousness and insomnia (Don't use while pregnant)
Petuilli - 'Dont' know this one
Sage - Good for mouthwash
Dragon's Blood Resin - 'Don't know this one either
Ginseng - Good for overall health.

Besides the grocery store, most occult shops end to carry most of them, as most are your typical cooking herbs and spices. The grocery store tends to have a better price as well and those herbs are meant for consumption, while some you find else where are not.

a tincture is when you place the herbs in a strong alcohol and allow the alcohol to asborb the herbs properties. then you strain it and use only a few drops at a time (sage vodka may sound good, but the hangover isnt)

So would rubbing alcohol be good? Or is it a certain alcohol I have to use?

I do believe most would use vodka, though my family would use everclear as it has less of a taste, but the kick is pretty hard!

Rubbing Alcohol I do believe is toxic when consumed in large quantities (do correct me if I am wrong) so I wouldn't use that!

Tea is always my favorite thing to make with herbs, and when I mix ginseng and mugwort together, I get a really good sleep tea (:

Rubbing alcohol is poisonous to ingest, but you can create aromatherapy tinctures that you can place on the skin. Vodka works alright, but the higher the alcohol content, the better. (Everclear, like Wishes said, works great)

But if you don't wish to use drinking alcohol, use rubbing alcohol and be sure to not ingest it!

As soon as the herbs colour the alcohol. This can take from a few minutes to 48 hours. If not, add a spoonful of water and see if it works after that.(Gum resins make sticky tinctures!)
