i think i may know how to increase dream vividity and chance

Postby Kei Kawazu » Fri Feb 25, 2011 8:16 am

so yesterday i did some odd imagination excersizes i invented up. then my daydreams were more vivid and at night i had a vivid dream i recalled so i think it could be related. im so happy i dreampt :D first time in a while it was as vivid as it was then.

Ok so the excersize i did was
first brain storm individual words that vairy alot and try not to have it be about the same things at all. needs variety.

then u brain storm three word groups like neon-flare-shrapnel or orange-biscuit-juice

then u imagine every meaning of it u can

then u take a word or two and swap ti with the first brain stormed words in each group.

then u take the new triple word sets erase one word and add an Imaginary or original word with no meaning.

then imagine the word with no meaning as a character event place object ability or theory. and imagine every possible meaning they can have whenever you do a three word group.

for example u coudl write evdsa-neon-pole then u can imagine it as a type of neon pole, that the neon pole is a theory of the south or north poles on the earth, or its a person from an anime or movie and imagine his or her personality, or its an ability to make neon light form into a materialized pole or something and for the place it could be a club with neon lights and shit or it could for th eevent be somehtign where the poles on the earth emit a neon once every so many thousand years and you get to see it.(theres alot of variability on these which is a good thing)

doing this (in school instead of notes LOL) increased my daydreamign capacity and vividity then i had a nearly fully recall of a vivid dream afterwards. i think itll improve visualizational skills as well.

I'm going to try this. XD Thank you.

I'll report back and tell you if it worked for me... but I have ADHD, so I don't have the highest of hopes. D:

An exercise I used to do to sharpen my minds eye was to visualize a clock face and then add a geometric shape into the circle where the points touched one of the hours, step 1, then after that I would rotate that image clockwise of counterclockwise to the next hour points whilst trying to hold the visualization intact, using the cardinal points are a reference. Not very exciting but I know for a fact my subconscious can keep track of time so by using this mechanism I assumed it would associate conscious rigor to something the subconscious could be familiar with.

oh i have adhd too. the second day i tried this i didnt get a dream though. but the next day without trying it i did XD then i had a dream two nights in a row but i forgot them but i was not doing much fo anything those days.

also try to make the images positive and stuff, because ti might take alot of brian power and you dotn want to accidently do anythign negative with that much of the brain. it may be one reason why i got emotional recently XD but then i read a hado book and excersized and i feel fine lol.

You have it too? Then maybe there is hope for me. Last night's dream was actually more vivid than most of them have been. Some of them have the quality of 80's films, and the people don't have faces-- and, if they do, they're not accurate.

I admit that it's hard for me to think positive. Maybe it'll be easier if I daydream/temporarily delude myself.

last night i fell asleep directly! and dreampt. first time in so much years! and the dreams was partially lucid and kinda vivid and one part i felt like i was in alice in wodnerland lol, but other parts i was moving through walls even lol and floating, my family kept bothering me in the dream though XD and i was trying to find a girl too but that failed lol. XD

what i did just before sleepign was simply daydreaming though. (well daydreaming plus i was feeling happy)

first part i was in a wheel chairr for some reason though, and later on i would travel through rooms highly similar to the one in my house but at one point i was too big to fit into a room so i felt like ti was alice in wonderland right there lol.

it was more detailed than my other detailed dream though too! but the ending was wierd and most of the time i was trying to escape my annoying family so i could go and do somehting.

This is interesting to me. Usually, to increase vividity, I just let my imagination run away with me: visualize things happening in front of me that I want to happen or inserting something whimsical. And I normally attempt to keep these things in the positive.
