Help! meditation work
well I recently started doing this meditaion exercise I use a candle focus watch the flame and let everything be pushed away from me until i reach a state of peace. problem is that i am sensitive at times to alot of things people sometimes for example I see them in my head and then I'll find a mesage from them in email at the time i saw there face in my head and when i tried this meditaion technique i didnt get the floaty feeling that i was supposed to I got this strange rush hard to describe and I felt like I was in a different place completly I saw the woods felt like i was bieng physically and mentally in a different place completly I was startled so I metally pulled back and myself out of this. I want to continue with meditaion but am not sure what that was or why it happened. Ive always been kind of sensitive so im wondering if that had anything to do with it and wondering if anyone can give me advice or if they have been through anything similar. by the way Im Silverrose84 and am new to the board

I can say don't go by what your supposed to feel when you do something. Everyone is different and experience meditation differently. Sounds like you are able to visualize very clearly. As long as your comfortable and can control the journey I would say keep going with it. It's hard to change what you will experience once your mind is focused.

thank you yes I do like meditating and will definately continue but Im also gonna look at ways to try and control whatever it is Im doing too many times I pick up on things when I have no desire to I feel like a sponge with other peoples energies at times they can be 1,000 miles away and I can feel them but thank you for the advice.
