You really can feel a crystal's energy

I know this is not news to many, but it was to me. I recently was at a gem show (my first) and besides spending 5 and a half hours without tiring, I learned that I can feel the energy of the stones by holding my non-dominant hand over them. It's weird, some have very strong energy and I can discern between the types of energy various stones emit; yet some stones I cannot feel at all. To me, Angelite has a very electromagnetic, almost prickly energy, and I had to have it. Then I found a quartz that I kept returning to visit throughout the show. It must have "called" to me, and even though it wasn't visually striking, I felt compelled to buy it. When I got home, I noticed its energy was mellow yet strong and protective, like a Rottweiler guard dog sleeping with one eye open. I nicknamed it "Rotty," haha. The crystals that my sister bought -- I couldn't feel their energy at all. We both did energy readings of the stones while we were blindfolded so as not to be influenced by favoring one gem over another, and both of us were surprised and delighted that the energies emanating from stones and gems are real and tangible. Far out!

That's really cool, Fluffy. I love the way you described the feelings you got from the different crystals. I've always wanted to feel strong energies from crystals, but I'm lucky if I get small tingles from them. You must be very sensitive to feeling energies.

Thanks for writing. I must say, this is a recent thing. I've had rocks and gems and crystals for years but this is the first time I've been able to feel them. I've returned, just this year, to meditating, grounding, and running energy which I haven't done since 2009, so I wonder if that has something to do with it. I also have some astrological transits (Neptune, Pluto stuff) that are helping me become more in tune with intuition, so I wonder if the combo of the two is helping me feel the energies.

That's really wonderful! I do as well feel the energies of crystals, as well, as other stones. I always feel very drawn to one and I have to hold it and rub my hands together with the rock in both of my hands. It is a glorious feelings and stones are just amazing things!!
The energy they give off is just delightful. Also, I love that you named your rock!! I had never really thought of that, that is super cute idea, though!!
