How does vanilla work for spells ?

I recently read about using vanilla oils or extracts for spells.

Do you know how vanilla works ? I know Cinammon has a lot to do with protection, and Myrrh with abundance but vanilla ??

Yes, vanilla is a very beautiful scent to use in spells!
& I do agree with these two!!!
Protection, Love/lust, healing.. Many more...I do also think if you need a substitute, Vanilla is the way to go. : D

I also heard that when there is stress in the household, cooking with vanilla will make for a more relaxed feel between the family members.

Definitely makes us relaxed. I also like burning vanilla candles if putting sugar cookie scented wax in my Scentsy warmer.
