Is there s ritual or is it matching your zodiac? I'm curious and want to find out!

I have found that guided meditations work very well for finding out such things, or maybe just spending time in quite with spirit. You could also do a spell asking for it to be revealed to you in your dreams. I feel that when the time comes, everything falls into place

your patron is the entity who would guide you personally,..
You could search a long time, so don't be too impatient. When the time is right He/She will reveal themselves to you. Study the pantheon you follow and learn the stories behind the myths, and eventually you will run across the "one" who speaks to you. Good Luck! Firebird

I found my special goddess by asking a deck of goddess cards "Who am I?", then drawing a card.

I researched the goddess I chose, and she was very much like me, so I accepted her as a special goddess, one I could connect with.

One night, I was really desparate & going through a hard time, really questioning everything, so I prayed to 'whomever is out there, come help me please' & then my Goddess appeared to me. I felt a warming presence for a little while, enough to calm me down. As time went on, I got in touch with one of Her followers (for lack of a better word. Apprentice might be a better one, actually) named Mirina & even though she hasn't progressed far enough to be considered a goddess, I've accepted her as my spirit guide. (or, one of them.)
Love.

What a beautiful experience! Hope I will experience something similar someday.
