when I lived at my sisters house i used to sleep on the couch. while i was there i always used to feel like something was watching me, but i usually just ignored it. one day after i had come home from work i walked into the house and since no one was there i sat down and turned on the tv. i was going to put something on but just then i started to feel extremely tired. right then and there i decided to lay down and throw a blanket over me and fall fast asleep.
when i fell asleep it had been mid day and the sun was still bright outside. all of a sudden from behind me i heard the toilet flush. my eyes snapped open and i remembered i was alone in the house, which was a much darker color than when i fell asleep, like it looked like it was probably around 8pm when i must have fallen asleep at around two. throwing the covers off me i sat up and looked around. nobody was in the house. my first thought was to flee. i stood up and walked around the couch heading towards the front door. i felt like something was trying to hold me back, however and though my hand was outstretched i never made it to the door.
thats when i woke up. and that i knew something was wrong. it was still dark inside the house and i didnt understand how i could still be on the couch. this time i jumped back up and tried even harder to make it to the door. i think i was just a few inches away from being able to turn the handle when i woke up again.
I opened my eyes to see the house bright as day again. the tv was still on even though there was no movie playing. i looked at my phone and saw i couldnt have been asleep for more than thirty minutes. i sat up and realized i was soaked in sweat from sleeping in a blanket with all of my clothes on. shakily, i stood up for real this time and ran out of the front door to go upstairs to my sisters neighbors house. i remember feeling extremely scared and sick to my stomach.
this was over a year ago, and nothing like it has ever happened again. i have long since moved out of my sisters house. to this day i am still completely baffled by what happened. it was like there had been a veil over my eyes the whole time i was dreaming, and no matter how hard i tried i couldnt leave the house. can somebody tell me, is this how a ghost must feel when they are trapped in one space? could i have been temporarily possessed? or could it really have been just a dream? somebody please help me. thank you.
could it really have been just a dream?
Re: could it really have been just a dream?
Hi Lioness, I wonder if you might have just been so tired that you were unable to wake up, even thought it felt like you had awakened. Dreams usually reflect what is going on in our lives at the time. Is there something you wanted to do but were being told you couldn't? or some other similar situation in your life? Hope things are ok now. Blessings Firebird
