A God influences me too much...

Ever since I was little, I was influenced by two beings, who then became my Patron God and Matron Goddess. So I know/feel that my Patron God: Eros, has had too much influence on me. I guess, it's been like this since I was like six, before I even knew what Wicca was, and now I know why I'm like this. How can I get him to let down a little bit? I swear, he's putting things in my mind that I'd rather not think about.

Try simply speaking to him, tell him how you feel. Be sure to show appreciation for his influences but be honest and let him know you feel that he is overinfluencing you. I wish you luck Blessed Be!

Might be time to ground and centre yourself. Hematite is good for this, Thank your Gods for their guidance and explain that you have now chosen to walk alone for a period. Make an offering as thank you and spend some time with your own thoughts. Do some journaling about what you really want to experience now....

I have one of those... moody and manipulative but she has always served a purpose in the long run... I learned to embrace her I guess.

Anyway, there is another suggestion. If you feel comfortable working with other Gods, you could find one that relates to the traits you would like to be stronger in yourself. Invoke another God (you will have to know if this is something you can, want, or willing to learn on your own). Just a thought how else you could work with it if it really seems to be something you don't want (and I understand that need). I know I have heard there are ways to 'remove' the influence but I honestly don't know where to look for that... I never tried it myself. I believe they are there to teach us, so take what you will from that. You may want to quiet the influence, but it could be helping you come to something deeper if this presence has been with you for so long.

Or, you may just need to give a good thanks, like the others mentioned. Do what feels best, see how it works.
