I Think Loki Is Contacting Me

I work with Brigid, as many know here and I had full intent of just working with her. Well... For a loooooooong time I've had a huge interest in Loki. I would watch movies with him in it and read about him... Now it's become an obsession. The thing is... I know how my obsessions are, and I know how I get with things. So what I'm about to share is not fan girling. I don't fan girl, and if I do, it's just... This doesn't feel like it, and I can tell the difference due to my intuitive abilities. So trust me when I say this is NOT fangirling.

Well, as you can imagine, having loved him for a long time, I loved him in Avengers and Thor. Not at first. I didn't like him at first. But then one day... It just suddenly snapped. I don't know what happened, but I started getting interested in Loki again.

Well, in my dreams recently, I've been having the movie verse Loki coming to my dreams. Only... he's not. It's very obvious it's fake. The clothes are off, the hair looks fake... And I don't ever remember my dreams unless it's needed. And they are ALL sex based. He's always quiet, but seems tricky and his eyes betray his solemn expression and he NEVER talks. He's just silent. And he ALWAYS wants sex. I don't ever do it, though.

So, this isn't real fangirling. If it were, it would BE Loki from the movies. It wouldn't be some weird variation and there are other things that have been coming into play recently. I've seen a lot of snakes, a lot of black birds (of any type, I know it's more ravens with them) which are heavily hinted at in Norse Mythology. I'm sure there's more things that I'm not thinking of right now.

How do I try to figure this out? It's just gut instinct that this is NOT fan girling. I really know it's not. On top of that, I do have a Loki figurine that some day randomly turned to face the opposite direction. I put it where my altar USED to be too.

So I'd love help with this. Thanks!

EDIT: So.... reading up about this, I might not even be working with Brigid at all? I've been reading up on people's experiences with Loki and... I think it might actually be him? When I did my first meditation, there was FIRE. It came over me and protected me, and I felt this womanly presence and saw a woman with red hair. Now, the weird thing is... I don't get any kind of sign of Celtic or Brigid. I get Celtic/Irish signs when I ask for them as guidance, but in all honesty, I get more Norse than I do Celtic. So... I'm starting to think he tricked me? She was surrounded by black birds too... I really think he's there and tricking me.

I've been seeing the number 13 EVERYWHERE too, and couldn't figure out what it means. So talking with my sisters tonight, we decided to look it up... 13 being a powerful number originated in Norse mythology, during a myth about 12 gods having a dinner party in Valhala.... And in walked the 13th uninvited guest : Loki.

So I know he's here now... And I'd really like help in figuring out how to do this.

I'd say that there's a reason you are being drawn to a particular Deity. Sometimes we are drawn because our subconscious mind is telling us "this Deity would be good for this purpose" and other times we are drawn because the God Themselves want to approach and work with us.

I have not, I only just tonight realized that.... He's probably here. I've been reading up on those who work with him and have encountered him.... They say things go waaaaaaaaay out of control and terrible out of nowhere. Then good things suddenly come of it. This happened with me, tied in with other things... I'm pretty sure he's here and trying to get my attention. I'm just... Not sure what to do. I thought I had this all figured out, but I guess not. haha.

That's not unusual Sakura. Loki is both a Trickster and an Adversary Deity and while I've not worked with Him directly I am a Polytheist and I know of and about Him and I also work with a lot of Deities who have the same nature as Him such as Eleggua, Eris and Kali.

As far as I know, Loki plays the role of provocateur; this is why he gets "sanitised or devilised" into "the Traitor and Norse Chaos Deity". But He wasn't an evil or traitor God, where He began fighting other Gods; He was born to be Loki. Neither does He spend His days to ruin the World and mankind as Pop culture depicted Him. He's a Divine presence on Earth with a mission: to object authority and government, to challenge people's hypocrisy and delusions and to provoke people to go against commonly held dogmatic and fanatic beliefs and ideologies. He challenges those people with blind faith and forces them to look within and view things from different perspective. This can be difficult for some people as He has a tendency to show truths that are indeed hard pills to swallow.

Obviously then, Loki isn't an autonomous force who just opposes other Deities and confuses people. Actually, Loki also assists the Gods and people faithful to Him. He's likely to teach hard lessons and put obstacles up that force people to face the truth and be honest about themselves.

The most valuable thing you have to keep in mind and do if you want to work with Loki is "introspection". Self-reflection and self-examination. Loki will test you if He finds you're still not revealing who you really are in fear of being fully seen. He'll challenge you until your soul will decide to wrestle free and live with sincerity and passion. The axe of earnest acceptance can overcome Loki's mischievous obstacles, clearing the way for you to come home to your true self.

I would be happy to share you a guided meditation if you wish to talk to the Deity, though you can always modify or tweak this if you want. Just be reminded that, never ever call on Loki if you aren't willing to learn things the hard way or not ready to suffer and walk the path of pain.

That's very interesting to read, and I did find all of that tonight while researching. (: The thing is, though... All the things I've been reading is that he's not one you can dismiss. If he's chosen you to work with him, then you work with him. He won't leave, and I've found he will make you start even if you aren't ready. All you said is true, too, because I got some harsh awakenings the past few months out of nowhere. I'm hoping tonight I'll get something more from my dreams, as I'm too tired to do guided meditation tonight.

And also, when I mentioned the thought of not working with him... I got a very bad headache. So I'm taking it as a sign that I should probably start looking into him a bit more. Haha.

I like Loki. It's hard to read exactly what to think of him based on lore due to it being written by a Christian. Loki was made in the fashion of Satan but he is more like the friend you have to says anything because they are right and you need to here it. He is fiercely loyal in my eyes. He also gets into trouble a bit but manages to get out again. He's a blood brother of Odin though I have no idea how that happened. He shapes shifts into female a lot so I wouldn't surprise me he has come as a female first. He's given birth even so he actually pretty motherly in a way. He also seems to love humans so I don't think your fan girling at all. I have "contact" with him once and I think that only happened due to me honoring Surt, his adoptive father, on a regular basis. He's very approachable so I would say simple set up a candle and talk to him. He's very open. This is some pretty indepth info. I know some don't like the Northern Pagan crowd but they are a Loki friendly group.

Oh, I actually read about him from a more... Pagan stand point and also, we have books about the actual Norse mythology, so I knew that he wasn't a bad God. The Christians just chose the one who looked the most threatening and turned him into a bad guy. Haha. (:
And yes, I've found that he's very motherly. It's hard to explain all that's been going on in my life, but he's been having some fun tricking me recently. I read that he does it to try and make you smile when you're down. All the tricks are never of ill intent. (:

When I realized that much of my life was Loki's working, I swear I heard him say "FINALLY!!!" It was definitely an Aha moment. The chaos and challenges make sense now.

Seriously, I swear he did something like that too. I heard a male's voice clear in my head. But it's his fault. Somewhat. He tricked me into thinking he was someone else but it was a test so it makes sense now. Haha. Still, though. I'm going to try and do a guided meditation tonight and see if it really is him or not.
