Can you be a part/extension of a deity?

Alright, so, I didn't even know how to ask this in the subject, so I apologize for it being rather vague.

This is definitely something I'm sure people might have strong opinions about, so I'm of course not looking for arguments or anything of the sort but something rather interesting came up tonight.

I was just spacing, like I usually do when Loki comes in and starts helping me with seeing things that will be beneficial... And this really strange thought popped into my head. The actual way it came about is gone now, because that tends to happen when these, for lack of a better term, "visions" happen. Basically, though, he was saying something about how humans/mortals can be an extension of a God/Goddess themselves, and actually... Be a part of them, or represent them.

It's hard to get across what I'm saying, but hopefully that makes sense. I don't want to get too personal with this just yet, but to make things easy, he was trying to tell me that I'm an extension of someone and that is part of why he's very interested in me. I did some tarot on this as well and... The results, to say the least, were a bit shocking. Symbols that represent Loki showed up on each card pulled, and they answered my questions directly. Based on this, they were saying yes, this was possible.

Of course, this isn't fact, but now I'm really curious to see others' opinions on this matter. I know this has been done in fiction, but I don't know if I've seen anything about it in actual myths or not.

So I really just want to see what others think of this, because I honestly have no clue right now. I'd be inclined to believe Him, as he hasn't steered me wrong yet, but it's such a strange and interesting concept that I'd like to see others' thoughts.

EDIT: Okay, so, I realized I didn't make this quite clear. So, I know that some believe that we are a part of the higher powers and they are a part of us, but that's not what I'm getting at.

Is it possible, to just... Be born with a part of them being a part of you? Not the idea of everyone is a part of the higher powers, and all of that. I hope that makes it a little more clear?

I believe so. As soon as I know of Lady Artemis' existence, I felt drawn to her. She always feels like I already know her, like we've always known one another. For me, I think that some people can be blessed by one or more Gods, Goddesses, spirits, Fey, etc. as they go through their various lives. But that's just me.

Is it possible, to just... Be born with a part of them being a part of you? Not the idea of everyone is a part of the higher powers, and all of that. I hope that makes it a little more clear?

i think so and heres why i say yes
I believe in past life and the spirit growing in each one, to the point where you move on to do even greater things such as being a guide to someone, or living in peace where the gods place you. I also believe that if you fail in this life you must repeat and try again.
Now that I explained that, its noted that several gods keep companions and are granted gifts from gods such as immortality and to me that doesn't necessarily mean they live forever in one body but maybe many lives soul wise and are always connected to the god/goddess in each passing life
this meaning that they have a piece of the god/goddess with them always
to me this is also proven via old beliefs that certain people were the embodiment of a god or goddess and that gods can choose to act through you to me that means that they leave behind a part of them even after they go and their for again are a part of you always
so to me it makes perfect since that you have a part or extension of a deity within you

Basically what happened, is I did my space out thing as I said, and the random thought was put in my head that the reason Loki is so drawn to me is because I'm some how a part of his wife. He wasn't clear at all, so I was wondering if I was 'blessed' as you said, by her? Or... I really don't know. I haven't the faintest clue, it's something I've never thought of because I didn't know if it was something that would be possible. I asked him for clarification, and it's not that he views me as similar to his wife, it's more so I'm connected to her in some way or a part of her. It's all he'd say on the subject, and wouldn't answer anything more so it's really vague. I don't know how else to explain it. It's very strange, and I'm hoping he'll clarify at some point. Haha.

This is EXACTLY what I was thinking and looking to see if anyone else agreed. I didn't want to say anything one way or another to sway thoughts.

See, Loki told me last night just randomly, well rather gave me the idea, that humans/mortals can be a part of a deity. He didn't explain how, he didn't say why... But it occurred to me through this, that I'm part of his wife. So, I did further meditation and tarot with this, and he was basically saying that I am a part of her or rather, a part of her is in me. something like that, as you were saying. It's not anything I'd have ever thought of, because if you go around saying "Oh, yeah, the goddess Sigyn is a part of me" people are gonna look at you funny and think you're insane or full of yourself, which is not what I'm trying to do of course.

But he wouldn't say anything more, other than the fact that no, he wasn't interested in me because I reminded him of his wife, it's rather that I am PART OF his wife, that he's interested and that he wants to work with me because of that. Which explains all those posts I had before, of him wanting marriage, romance, saying undying love, etc. So, he was either saying he felt that way, or he was saying that to get me on this path that I'm on now. OR, it might even be that he was saying both. I'm still not sure. I got some information from meditating last night, but that's about it.
