While doing some herb magick and ritual,i had something come over me suddenly, i have always thought ive lived before,and I felt strange and all of a sudden I blurted out restore my magick powers as they once were before! Strange hearing myself say this, after I said it I thought, hope its good magick and not the other!! I was getting into a lucid state of mind, I lay in my circle legs and arms sprawed out and went into somewhat of a dream state, I opened my eyes in my dream and saw I was on my back staring upwards kinda fogy like. There were people crying and coming up to see my face, and sprinkling herbs on me. Five or six faces I must have known were looking down at me as they passed in sadness, one caught my attention a woman, and I new it was my past wife , a distant voice said its your wife Michelle, along with a dear freind i forgot his name. As this happened I new I had passed, I was laying on logs and wood below me ready to be set on fire, and then my dream state ended. Now that was strange, Im Irish, German and am drawn to anything Celtic,and german. Im not quite sure what happened here! Very strange indeed.Any one Care to comment on my dream , I would love some input on it , Thanks ''Silent Stream''

Interesting peek into your past life! What caught my attention is that you were on logs of wood ready to be set on fire. Now, I know that my culture/religious practice, we cremate a dead person's body. I think cremation was prevelant in ancient times in Europe and other places, but I think it was relatively looked down upon during Middle Age.

Also, I am not sure during which era Michelle became a popular name. I only know that its the feminine form of Michael. If you read more about it, the name was prevelant in Christianity culture?

I typically look closely at the details of the visions I get, if any. Like the cultural aspects and details from the vision which gives lot of clues about the era and the environment. Sometimes, the visions have no clue of time... but I think its intended that way.

It does seem like a past life "remembrance," as I call them (rather than a vision or dream). You were in a relaxed, altered state due to your ritual activities. In a more clinical setting, hypnotherapists might do a progressive relaxation exercise with you to get you to that state. Either way, results are the same...in that state, the mind is more "programmable," and we could access parts of it that we can't access in our conscious state, such as repressed or forgotten memories, traumas, and I would argue past life memories. I'm of the opinion that "mind" is non-local, and not dependent upon the presence of the organic brain, though of course we could use our brains for cognition, obviously. I say this because I have presented in a spiritualist church as a medium before, and (so-called) dead people "came through," saying hi to their loved ones. Obviously, the dead people were not using their organic brains to think, and I could not have known of their thoughts of my own accord.

In India and other parts of Asia (including Japan, where my mom's from), large portions of the population tend to believe in past lives. Unknown to many, the Druids of the Celtic cultures also believed in reincarnation, as did the Jews at one point (you could Google these subjects for more insight). A common Buddhist axiom is that "the mind of the current life is the parent, and the mind of the next life is it's child," meaning, we tend to "carry over" our cares and concerns from one lifetime to the next (what's called "klesha" in Sanskrit) hoping to resolve them, whatever they may be. For some reason, your death in that past life, that very moment your dead body was about to be lit afire, is still very relevant to your soul, and for some reason your (non-local) mind is still processing it. I think this might deserve further investigation on your part.

You are able to do in ritual what it takes some people a visit to a hypnotherapist to do (or at least, the use of a hypnosis cd or video, or some other kind of assistance). Take advantage of this ability and use it as a tool to enable further exploration of this phenomena! I suggest putting yourself back into that altered state and "programming" the next experience. You would do this by setting an intention (kind of like putting a light spell on yourself), saying to yourself, "I will return to that lifetime where I saw myself on that funeral pyre. I will learn about the details of that lifetime. I will learn about who those people were that attended my funeral, what I was to each of them," etc. Then, see what happens next. Keep a journal nearby so that when you come back to your conscious mind, you could try to record what you remember. People also set these kinds of intentions before going to sleep and attempting a lucid dream experience. It's exciting how we can program our unconscious minds to reveal deeper levels of information about ourselves.

Thanks Ness , Im thinking ill have to research the funeral pyre,i was thinking it was viking/celtic traditions at one time to burn the dead. I had a name of a friend that I saw looking at me and new his name I said it several times to remmember it but still forgot it , yes your right about the name Michelle , it has a christian influence definetly! Thankyou Kassandra, I have always had a pull to go to Ireland and Germany all my life, my father was the same way,we were both scorpios born on the same day,1st of nov. Years ago he sold volkswagens and was a leading salesman back in the sixties and won a trip to the wolfsburg plant in Germany, we both had a pull for some reason,my father also had a tent company he manufactured midevil period tents and such, and had tents in movies like the Patriot and such. I will try again if its in the cards, this weekend Ill be alone and will try to connect again.

I recived my name silent stream in a vision in ritual, when I lay down in my circle after ritual I wait to hear for anything that might come to me, I will walk into a dark area of a stream that flows quietly there I sit and wait, and most times I stare at the stream and will hear crumbling leaves behind me but Im not to look. I hear the voice of a boy, he talks to me like a guide,he gave me my name,silent stream. I get wisdom and seek understanding of what im told.Sometimes its the boy but he has a wise mans voice. I know I come from Ireland or Germany I think its neat and want to learn more but Ill take it slow. Also wonder why I felt I had to say without thinking Give me back my powers such as I had before! Did a ritual tonight, to seek some more insight of my past life . I cast a circle and burnt sandlwood, mugwart ,star anise , benzoin, laid out in my circle and got still. What came to me was as though I was above looking down, there was a woman I think my wife, she was faning smoke with a large feather, looking up and she was trying to talk to me I think shortly after my death. The vision I saw was in black and white, she was calling out to me in ritual and I think there were 3 other women with her they were throwing pinches of some powder on charcoal making smoke while she was faning it and calling to me. And that was that, all I got. I also was wondering how I died and it came to me I was in a huge forest helping to fell trees, one we fell I climbed up on and was walking on it horizontal , I think i was triming branches I lost my balance and fell, I broke my neck and died, and then I stopped the vision. I dont want to spend to much time, because i dont want to inject something made up so im careful if my mind starts wandering I stop. I dont know how much more ill do this, Im not sure were it will go, thats all I got so far.
