I have a dæmon or spirit animal, male of course, but why does he seldom in never show up in my dreams?

Why "male of course?"
As for why he doesn't show up in dreams, perhaps that's just not the way he chooses to contact you. There are many ways our guides can speak to us, and perhaps this particular spirit has chosen not to use dreams for some reason. There could be any number of reasons why that might be. How did you come to know your guide/how do you usually contact them? Have you made any effort to specifically do dream work with your guide?
