Is this an ability?

Hey, I have a quick question. I apologize if it sounds somewhat self-indulgent. ^^;

Since I finally was able to really let go of the pain that has been troubling me for years, I’ve been able to connect really easily (almost effortlessly) to my patron deities. Not only that, but I seem to be able to feel their presence without even focusing. I also seem to be able to project how They appear to me to others. I have a friend whom I chat with on Skype (she’s a Witch but not a Wiccan). When we were discussing our abilities, I told her about seeing the Gods (specifically the Greek pantheon but I’ve briefly interacted with the Egyptian pantheon) and she was curious as to how they looked to me. As I described it, she said she could not only see it in her mind’s eye but feel their presence. She felt particularly drawn to their eyes.

Is being able to see, sense and even project/channel??? the deities a skill of any kind? Has anyone heard or done something like this? It’s a bit confusing and embarrassing.

Hmmmm... I'm not sure if this would count as an ability-based on the fact that she could see it in her mind's eye could just be her being good at visualising. As for the eyes, that could be an eye fetish??? Haha no, just kidding. (Sorry) As for the eyes and feeling their presence I'm really not sure... hope I could help.

Nono, it's all right. It's just odd. I know there are spirit seers and mediums so that's why this question popped into my head when I noticed a trend in what I could do.

I would say it possibly is. (: I am able to do the same thing and I'm able to do it with spirits as well. Sometimes those who are sensitive see things with their mind's eye, it doesn't always have to be with their physical eyes. I wouldn't say that her seeing it would be one, but what you are doing definitely could constitute as one, I suppose.

Quite honestly, I think everyone can do it. Or at least has the potential to do so. I think it also depends on the relationship you have with your deity and if they wish for you to see them. It's hard to say one way or another, though, because nothing is really set in stone, you know? (:

I mostly see things in my mind's eye, but I think when that isn't enough, things will manifest to our physical eyes just to make sure they're seen. Like, Am I really seeing this, or is it just that I want to, and then Bam! there is.

For me, I see them if they visit in my sleep but it's when I'm awake that I feel their presence and hear them.
