Are there any tree godesses?
I am wondering this because I feel connected to trees. I usually offer up incense to the tree spirits. It just feels right to me. I know there are goddesses and gods associated with trees. But does anyone know if there is one goddess over the trees? Would that be Gaia? I know she is mother over all the earth but I don't know if she reigns over the trees. I also know about the dryads and naiads.
Re: Are there any tree godesses?
Gaia doesn't really have ties to trees specifically. She is a personification of the primordial earth, and that could certainly include trees as they are part of the earth, but it's not really something particularly emphasized with her, if that makes sense. As far as tree nymphs, in some areas/times of Greece Artemis was considered foremost of the nymphs, and she does have a lot of titles relating her to specific kinds of trees. The Egyptian Hathor also had some ties to trees, and was Mistress of the Sycamore in particular. Neither of those deities are mainly/only focused on trees, but they do have that aspect to them.

Re: Are there any tree godesses?
I like to think of The Green Man as a god for the trees, maybe research him a bit?
Re: Are there any tree godesses?
I think of The Green Man also when it comes to trees. When I think of the deep depths of a flourishing forest seeing/feeling the Green Man kinda goes hand/hand for me. But everyone is different. I think a more important point would be who do YOU feel comfortable with as a deity for the trees. Again, just my opinion. But if I were you I would research deities associated with trees. I would read up on the ones that jump out to me, and peaks my interest. And after my research (physical and mental, ie: computer/book/physical item and meditation) then I would choose the one that makes the most sense to me and my path. Maybe you could connect through meditation with a deity or two you came across in your research. Also, if you have built a good rapport with a specific deity you could ask them who they would recommend you speak with or maybe they will have their own answer for you. [WINKING FACE]

The ancient Egyption associated some gods with trees. A far as I know Horus was associated with acacia, Osiris with sycamore (because the sycamore coffin which was made by Seth). Hathor was called the “Lady of the Sycomore” (as Siona has already said). Ra connect to the ished tree. Thoth and Seshat was associated with palm.
In Egyptian mythology exist minor tree goddesses also, in the images you can see goddesses who grow up trees, or the trees has human body parts, as arms or breast. This goddess often offer for the dead food and drink.
