I'm not too sure, but i believe there is. i believe there can be guardian angels for some people.

I'm sure there is a spell or something somewhere that you can find that will conjure a dream gaurdian, it would probably be with protection spells

You can actually contact and be contacted by astral familiars in your dreams. So I guess it depends on what type of creature you want guarding you. (Most often though, an astral familiar appears to you because there is something you need to learn and adapt from its' qualities & characteristics. )
