Ready to introduce myself!

Postby bluejay_1919 » Mon Jul 06, 2015 9:12 am

Hi everyone!

I'm Bluejay1919 and I've been lurking around here for a few months now. I've been waiting to introduce myself because I honestly wasn't sure what to say. I came here, mainly for my daughter and myself. My daughter is a bright and unique spirit and has told me several times that she refuses to believe in one God. Actually most of her beliefs are in the mythical Greeks and other ancients. She told me if she had to pick one thing to worship it would be nature because she deserves it more than anything, for all the beauty she brings us. She loves to pretend she is a witch and totally believes in fairies and has started her nature box (sort of her own altar she keeps in a pretty box dedicated to nature ). This is all on her own. So after alot of thought and pondering on my daughter and myself I decided to look more into Paganism.

When I was a little girl, I too loved to pretend I was a witch living in a cottage in the forest. I decorated my bedroom with dried flowers, angels and many candles while other girls were decorating with their celebrity crushes. Eventually I noticed I was in love with Scotland & Ireland ( never been there) and I was drawn to another time period. I started having dreams of being taken through a castle lit by torches and I'm being accused of witchcraft & about to be executed.

I've realized now that maybe that was once a past life & perhaps that's why I'm drawn to this. I've just been putting it off and ignoring what I feel is natural to me. Thanks to my little girl, I'm finally ready to look more into this.

This is a great forum and there are many nice people on here. I'm hoping to post more questions as they arise. I'm currently reading "Paganism, An Introduction To Earth -Centered Religions" by Joyce & River Higginbotham. It's very interesting :)

Well, that's me and my short and quick story. Well, I hope it wasn't too long or placed in the wrong spot!! I apologize if it was.

Merry Meet!

Glad you found your way here, and your little girl sounds precious. If I can assist in anyway, please let me know.

Also you might want to check is Christopher Penczak's Temple of Witchcraft series. They too are an excellent read :)

Aw, thank you for the kind words! Yes, my daughter is precious & only seven years old. She is so wise & beyond her years :)

Thanks for the recommendation on the book. Putting it on my list right now!
