Since I was very young, I've always had a thing for Greek Mythology. From the time that I watched Hercules, to when I discovered Persey Jackson, I've found that I'd taken great interest in learning about the God's and Goddesses of Greece. So I decided that I was going to do just that. And upon doing so, for some reason that's unknown to me, I've taken a liking to the Greek God Hermes.
Now, coming from a Christian background, I had absolutely no idea that Gods and Goddesses of different Pantheons were still worshiped today. It wasn't until I was introduced to Wicca in 8th grade that I knew otherwise. I had (very much on accident!) said to one of my very dear friends that Greek Gods weren't worshiped anymore; and she was soon to correct my mistake!
Anyways, (apologies- I'm getting off track!), I've always been.. How should I put this?.. When I was looking for a Patron (I knew that I really liked Hermes, but I wanted to look further to be sure) it was as though every time I tried to think about a different God aside from Hermes, it was like.. Hermes would just pop back into my mind every time. So now, as one could definitely imagine, I'm about 99% sure that Hermes is calling out to me! At least, that's what I think.
Now, my question is this- do you guys agree that Hermes is calling out to me? And if he is, are there any ways that I can specifically honor him? Is Hermes any else's Patron? Or has anyone ever worked with Him?
Thank you so much in advance for taking the time to read this! As someone who is just starting out, it definitely means a lot!!

A Question About Hermes?
There is a battle of two wolves inside us; one is evil, It is jealousy, greed, and lies. The other is good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, kindness, and truth. The one that wins?

The best way to see if Hermes is calling to you, is to ask him!
If you can, you might consider setting up a little altar for him, with some of his symbols, such as feathers/wings, rams, dice/coins, and other items. Frankincense was a traditional offering to Hermes, as were nettles, ginger, and wine. Wednesdays and the 4th of the month (in ancient Greece this would have been the lunar month, which starts today by many reconstructionist calendars, or yesterday for others), so those would be particularly good days to do something special for him, and praying to him with questions, for guidance, and so on.

Re: A Question About Hermes?
I work with Hermes (one of the numerous Trickster Deities I work with, yeah... I've also always had some sort of affinity with mischievous tricksters being a goofball myself).
If you could observe the Hermaea Eriounia, the feast day of Hermes as the luck bringer which occurs on the 4th of the Makedonian month of Audenaios, then go and celebrate it. You could do party games, role-reversal activities, gambling, and offerings for good luck are performed for the coming year.
Every festival, I bring four votive offerings out of clay I made in the form of animals sacred to Hermes, like:
Hermes as a Lord of guile, also loves sweet goodies.

This is taken last April 2014, during His festival!
I also decorate my altar and shrine with four foreign coins from my travels. And of course! Strawberries and cinnamon!
I can't really say if the God is calling you but I agree with Siona. I think since you have this feeling that He's calling you then this is perfect opportunity to beseech Him for blessings related to travel, commerce, magick, sports and social life; but more importantly, have moments to connect with your chosen beloved Patron.
If you have His attention; speak as long as you wish!

- Guard-dog; for His role as our vigilant god of borders and noble psychomp.
- Cock or rooster; representative of his role as god of bright and blessed beginnings; opening each new day to all things lucky.
- Turtle; represents the animal Hermes made into a kithara!
- Bee; a symbol of travel and commerce, which are stuffs Hermes governed.

Thank you so much for your response!! I think I'll try meditating on it tonight and see what happens!

Re: A Question About Hermes?
To update you guys, I just at finished meditating, and I'm surprised to say the least. I imagined there was a bright, white light radiating from my body- kind of like it was protecting me. Alright, so, as I was starting to call out to Hermes, I just got this feeling that there was no need to do so, because he was already there. I was in a big room where it was just white- and I saw him. At first I panicked, and I almost lost my concentration, but then I calmed myself and I spoke with him. He told me that everything was going to be fine, and that he was going to lead me in the right direction. But as I was speaking to him, something unexpected happened.
Another Greek God came, and I immediately knew that it was Apollo. I was VERY surprised, but happy all the same. He told me the same thing Hermes did- that I was going to be fine and that he was going to lead me in the right direction as well. And then they walked off together into the bright light, and well, here I am.
Is it possible for someone to have 2 Patron Gods? o.o
