What a nice thread. Thanks for sharing, everyone.
Saw this pic on my FaceBook. I never knew about the tradition of "burning of the greens" on Imbolc. It makes perfect sense, though, letting go of a winter symbol, making way for spring spirit. Anyone else do this, or something similar, for their Imbolc celebration?

What day is Imbolc?
Re: What day is Imbolc?
Oh yeah, I've burned bay leaves (sacred to Brigid) with wishes ("seeds planted for the coming year") written on them. I like candle divination as well at this time of year.

Re: What day is Imbolc?
Cool, that's like an indoor version of what Selena & Company did. I've used bay leaves for a similar purpose before (aren't they great to write on?!). Sometimes I use them in lieu of "petition papers" in spells. The outdoor communal event seems awfully fun, though...it's nice to have options.Oh yeah, I've burned bay leaves (sacred to Brigid) with wishes ("seeds planted for the coming year") written on them. Thanks, Becks!
