Hi
I am a new member so I hope it's ok to ask this question here. I've been reading through some of the different spells listed here and about writing your own spell and I find myself with some question and needing a bit of advice if that's ok. Im wanting to do banishing or protection spell agaisnt a troublesome neighboor. A couple of spells I've read would work really good in this situation expect that I live in an apartment complex so I have to be careful as to what I do as to not draw attention to myself. Is it ok to modify a particular spell or rewrite will it work just as effectively. Thank you in advance.

Re: Writing or modifying spells
Yes, and modifying makes it your own and thus more effective for you.

I don't think I've ever done a spell as is. I always modify it at least a little either to work with what I have or to make it feel right for me.

Thank you everyone for the advice I was a little nervous about changing anything. I haven't tried any yet as I need to get some candles which I plan on doing so this week. I will reply what the outcome. Thanks again.
Re: Writing or modifying spells
Yes, you are more than able to write/create your own spells. Modifying spells written by others is also an option. However, I do advise you to stick to your correspondences and research supplies based on what it is you're trying to do.
For example, using a herb for sex magic would not be very useful when trying to craft a spell for deep, restful sleep. Sometimes you can change things and throw a kink into the mix, so you have to be careful to stay focused on the desired outcome. It's a little like baking a cake: you want to use the ingredients that are going to help you make the best cake; you wouldn't want to use bread flour, or mayonnaise instead of cake icing.
