Strange occurances late a night what does it mean

I am a new member here and a new witch. I have not done any spells yet due to needing to a few supplies which I plan to do later this week. Anyway I've been reading a lot and researching about different spells and everything on this site as well as others. I find myself visualizing how I will the spell and see myself doing them. Last night and tonight, while sitting in the living room, I suddenly got very spooked because I swear it had sounded like our door was opening and shutting. I was simply watching tv at the time both times. Also our Siamese cat has been acting very strange this week, even for her lol. She will stare very strangely, as if she looking at something, then suddenly wildly run through our apartment for about 10 minutes or so. This is also done the same time as well, usually around 10 or 11. The door thing just started last night. What in the heck does this mean, if anything at all? Am I just psyching myself out (no pun intended) without realizing it, or do I inadvertently do something?

A door opening and closing...is that what you are describing? Were other people in the house? Did you investigate? How close are neighbors? I can hear my neighbor's cell phone ring across the driveway between our homes. Every cat owner is familiar with the behavior you describe. It's a cat thing. They could see a hair floating on a breeze and chase it gleefully. And every cat owner has floating cat hairs. They do.

Have you summoned anything into your home? Look for mundane explanations and only after they are ruled out, go looking for other-worldly reasons. We are not prepared to do magic until we have control of our thoughts and intentions. Yes, our heightened anticipation can stir the winds, but take it slow and don't lose common sense.

Thank you as far as I know I have not done anything to summon anything. That was the first thing I did with the door thing was investigate because yes we have upstairs neighboors and I can hear creaking noises when they walked arcoss the floor so Im used to that sound. Not to sound stupid or anything but how would I know if have summoned something is it possible to such a thing on accident or without knowing you did. Thank you for your advice.

Summoning would be a deliberate invitation calling something/ someone. Happens a lot when people use a ouija board and don't close it down when they're done, or play around speaking magical calls for fun without precautions. Hey, it happens. Just saying.

Hmm, just thought of something. Put a piece of tape on the door, so that it is long enough to reach the frame. If the door is opened, it will unhook the tape. Ghost buster.

Take pictures in the room, both during the strange occurrences, and when nothing's happening (to compare). Aim where the cat seems to be looking.

Also maybe set up a camcorder starting at about 9:45pm. Make sure it includes the whole room, and especially the creaking door. Maybe leave the house for a while between 10 and 11, and let the camcorder do its thing. It seems sometimes beings are bolder when no one's around.

Later, examine the pictures and video. You might see orbs, spirit beings, an ET or two (haha). Or not, maybe nothing at all. But, you'd be surprised what pictures could pick up though, what our naked eyes don't see. I'm always amazed.

I'd be interested in hearing about what you might find, if anything.

Thank you both I will try both of them. Also something I forgot to mention as well my grandmother and grandfather have both passed many years ago now. They we're the type that liked to play little pratical jokes especially my grandfather. After I got to thinking about it for awhile Im wondering if it wasnt one or both of them cause I wasnt really scared it took me off guard for a second The thing with the door my grandmother would also say things like hi casper or come in when things like that would haapend. Thank you both for the added advice I will try both of those.

When you start on your path many spirits and entities are attracted to the psychic energy that you are putting off. Guides will become more visible, and elemental and planetary spirits will come around. It has been part of my life since childhood, so for me it is second nature. Unfortunately, things like ghosts and astral shells come around. But you get used to it.
