What are y'all doing for Mabon? I haven't decided yet.
You may call me Valerian Moon, or simply Val.

We probably won't be doing a whole heck of a lot. I think I'm going to make a few mini apple pies and a hearty dinner for Cody and myself. Aside from that, I like to do a lot of "spring cleaning in the fall" right before Mabon; I view it as a time to prepare my home for the coming winter and all of the time I will be spending within it.

Smogie!
I miss pie!
You are such a homemaker I love it. :fairy:

I really am a homemaker, I'm happiest here.
I have a friend who ONLY bakes bread on this day, so she bakes a lot of it.

If I have the energy, and it isn't too hot, I will probably make chocolate chip banana bread. I have a freezer full of bananas. Maybe I'll get some pumpkin and make pumpkin cranberry bread too.

Not Mabon-related per se, but since the harvest moon was to-night*, we harvest mint from the front yard here, and made mojitos.

*Here in Seattle, the full moon is to-morrow at around noonish. In such a circumstance, I think it could be argued that the night of the full moon could be celebrated on either to-night or to-morrow night, or both. I tend to celebrate on both, but with a bigger emphasis on the former night, because on the latter night the moon has already begun waning.

I have to put off my mabon celebration until sunday, unfortunately. Work has been too crazy to begin planning anything big. Bummer.

Happy Equinox, all!

Not entirely sure what I'm going to do with the day. Probably an improvised ritual, maybe a walk with the family through the woods (the Washington Park Arboretum). We'll see.

I'm celebrating tomorrow! My sister witch has prepared a ritual and we'll be drawing mother goddesses. The latter isn't mabon related, but she's going to have a baby so it'll be a beautiful experience for us both! :D
