Good afternoon/evening. My name is Shannon and I'm new to this website. I'm hoping to gain some insight, build spiritually, and maybe meet some friends.
I'm 26 years old and will be 27 mid-July. I live in Michigan, USA. I've got one daughter who's 5 years old. I work in the gaming industry..A casino in Central Michigan in the marketing department. I'm a Cancer.
I don't have many hobbies or interests and have truly been struggling with self-identity. I've been in a pretty dark place in my life lately and I could say endless negative things about myself but self-pity is a pet peeve to me as well. Lol...I enjoy reading about about space and weather and anything abnormal. In a way that's sort of what brought me here. For years I've noticed a trend in my emotions and energy and with the lunar cycles. There's a strong connection and I needed to explore what to do with it. During every full moon, I feel absolutely manic. Incredibly restless and impulsive and seriously needed an outlet. Fast forward a couple of weeks later, I've picked up a book on meditation, a few crystals, and decided that I'd like to work on inner growth.
I attended both non-traditional and traditional Christian churches growing up and always tried to convince myself that I have a relationship with God but I've honestly been agnostic for many years. I've decided to just start going with what feels right.
I've spent the last 6.5 years with my daughter's dad and have become quite antisocial but at the same time incredibly lonely. Not trying to sound depressing and give off negative vibes. I truly look forward to getting to know everyone as well as learning from each and everyone.
