I was put on birth control as a regulator, and yes the pills made me sick to my stomach so I went with the patch. The patch will NOT fall off, it's like super nasa adhesive or something lol but I've gone swimming and I shower every day and it never game off before it's time.

With that said, the doctor told me my symptoms are similiar to that of polycystic ovarian disease, which sucks really bad. It causes me to have dangerously irregular periods and lower levels of estrogen (or its higher levels of testosterone, im not sure). The doctor wanted me to go to the freak gyno so like the annoying rebel that I am, I stopped using the patch, and I had one regular cycle (I was so proud of myself) but my period hasn't come back again. I should have gotten it over a week ago but I refuse to go back to that quack doctor or be dependant on freakin medication again.

I've done two spells so far and haven't been able to permenantly fix it, yet. What should I do?

Just in case any ladies are still checking this topic... Exercise, a long hot shower, and Aleve work for me. Admittedly, not the most natural thing in the world, but give it a try if you really can't shake the cramps. I'd take a dose of cyanide if it helped me during my period.

Besides what has been mentioned,

Alfalfa and Juniper berry are mild diuretics and help with bloating and water retention.

Arrowroot is good for upset stomachs.

Valerian and white willow are pain relievers, and will help ease the cramps.

The Chamomile tea and warm bath suggestions are excellent ideas for soothing stomachs and cramps :)

As for regulating periods after being on birth control, try dong quai - HOWEVER - do not use this herb if there is a chance you may be pregnant, or if your flow is excessively high.
