Shriveled Spirit

Postby thatguy » Thu Apr 27, 2006 3:35 am

alone in a park
early morning
before dawn
calm
crisp
gone
shriveled spirit

the smells
everything alive
easy friends close by
plenty to do
what's next is exciting
gone
shriveled spirit

a hot day
there's no thought in getting dressed
bare feet on wood
shoes on
outside
really hot
bright
so much can be done today
nothing has to be
gone
shriveled spirit

a new thing
breathe in the new thing
pour yourself into it
nothing is like this
glory but no worship
it's not even serious
new thing after new thing
gone (and never again)
shriveled spirit

I can remember these
I lament
quoth the Raven?
break its neck, it deserves worse
