Man of War

Postby GroundedDancer » Sun Apr 15, 2018 9:23 am

So, I was dreaming about planting various types of herbs. Most were normal like Hibiscus, but then there was one that was strange. I was planting little wood chips with hieroglyphic type (or indigenous, it was very picture-as-words) drawings. I don't remember what the pictures looked like, but for some reason I was calling it Man of War. I know there is an animal with this name, but I doubt there is a plant?

I'm just word-associating but when I'd read your post High John the Conqueror root came to mind.

Also there is a daylily called Abilene Man Of War

Isn't man of war a type of Jellyfish?

It's a species of jellyfish, and also the name of a famous race horse.

It's that one that looks like a balloon floating on the surface of the water right?

Yes. And I guess they're not a true jellyfish.
