Candle ?
Flames are random, yet beautiful, and strange little things. They can do things inexplicably, as they burn up the oxygen around them, and often quite randomly too.
Flickering could mean many things. Lack of air in the room.. The wick's too short so the flame's being starved of oxygen as it sinks deeper into the candle.. The wick's too long, so the flame is behaving / smoking in a strange manner.
I find if you watch a flame for long enough you often start.. 'seeing' things, as it starts to entrance you with its motion. Usually, though, it's nothing out of the ordinary.. Just you thinking about it too much
