Brooms standing up by themselves

Postby Caitieb9 » Thu Mar 01, 2012 7:45 pm

So, I have been seeing a lot of posts on Facebook where people have been taking pictures of their brooms standing up on their own. I tried it and it worked! (Google it so I don't sound so crazy) I have tried to figure out why this is and when I google it people either say Vernal Equinox or that it is "witchcraft" (which obviously made me laugh). But I thought, okay well no one else is giving me an answer, why don't I ask you guys! Brooms are obviously a historical part of the craft and the most reliable source I have found have all said it has something to do with the gravitational pull of the planets. Do you guys have any ideas? Anything supernatural going on here?

It’s based on center of gravity of the broom being low. The spread bristles hold it steady. No mystery.

The broom on the housekeeper's cart fell over and whacked me yesterday.

Maybe it was trying to tell you something Snow?
This "trick" works best with a newer broom.
I used to stand one up in the corner when newbies were coming around, kinda fun to see their reaction :surprisedwitch:
