My new alter stuff

Postby Kristofski » Thu Sep 14, 2006 6:35 am

Hi guys! I wanted to tell you about the new things I just bought for my alter (I don't know how interested you'll be but I'm really excited about it and I wanted to talk about it!). I now have my alter set up almost how I want it, and I did my first proper ritual last night!

The things I got were:
An engraved silver plated goblet from a charity shop for about 50p
A really nice round brown casserole dish (I think) with a lid for a caldren, which was £3.99 from the same charity shop
A small figure of a person meditating, also from a charity shop but not second hand
a medium-sized alter candle which cost one pound from poundstretcher

I added this to what I already had; a quite large orange stuffed tiger that keeps away eveil and negitivity that was given to me by my chinese friend, a wooden handled knife I stole from the kitchen (It's not very good for cutting so I'm sure it won't be missed) and a hanging 4 candle holder (though I need to get a nail in the wall so I can hang it up)
I also bought some coals and gum incense. It was quite expensive but I think it was worth it.

I did a very simple, spontanious ritual, mainly claiming the space as a spiritual space and then clensing all the alter items with salt. It was really exciting though, and I felt amazing afterwards. This is the first time I've really done something to affirm my spirituality, and I feel so good for doing it.

Thanks for letting me ramble!

Kristofski xx
