I've heard the big bang theory and my question was where did the energy come from that coalessed into the matter?
I have yet to get a sutible answer so for the most part, I shelved this question untill I have more data to play around with or an epiphany about the whole thing.

i dont see the universe as being created. i just see it as always having been there and will always be there. because before it did exist nothing could have so there would have been nothin to create it. and "The Big Bang" makes no sense i think science should leave certain things alone.
now as for things in the universe, i believe to a certain extent they were created like people and things beyond because they couldn't have come from nothing either.

Honestly?

Don't know. Wasn't there. Doesn't matter.

it's an interesting idea to contemplate. for a while there, i entertained the idea of an omni-existant universe. But I don't really believe that. I eventually decided that I don't really care.

And that's all I have to say about that </Forest Gump>

The idea of the big bang is a little confusing, and its a bit of a coincidence that it was just the right amount of energy to make life, I'm preety sure I heard if it had been any stronger or weaker it would have destroyed everything. Personaly I don't know how it all happened I'm happy enough knowing it did

lol, my thoughts about this too. To me, I have no clue how the earth started, or how people started (evolution vs creation vs whoknowswhat), It's interesting to hear theories, but I don't really suppose we'll ever know exacly how it started, especially since no one was there. It could have been anything.

The question is a matter of religion.

For my religion, the gods and goddess's actually created it out of boredom, yes you heard me boredom...chuckles... you would get bored to sitting on a golden throne all day with your 11 brothers and sisters.

For a sceintist that religion is the big bang, and weather they admit it or not, it is a bit of a religious beleif. Why is a religion , not knowing for sure but beleiving you are right. Well welcome to the big bang theory, Sceince isn't specail and its not new. It simply alchemy with out a beleif in any god. Instead it is replaced with the selfserving, we are the smartest in the universe theory, that teaches we are the only accidents who were smart enough to make the best of it.

What I find funny is that sceince proves more of what we have been saying exists for centuries are real than any other religion. The proof in that (and this is just one example.) Auras we have beleived in the energy that is an aura for centuries. We beleived it and taught it for hundreds of years, Sceince denighed it, then 15 years ago some bonehead says hey we have electrical energy running through our bodies, and that engery radiates from the human body. This makes a form of light, with a high spectum, which some eye disorders can pick up and see, and that same disorder allows you to see the energy flow as it changes color and fluxes.

Here is the catch 22 almost 65 percent of the population is affected with the eye disorder. This begs me to ask, who has a disorder the 65 percent who have it or the 35 who don't.

i dont think you can leave a belief like that down to religion. there are so many religions with so many different thoeries yet only 1 universe, all of those thoeries can't be right

And they arent, but maybe they are. The point is no one knows, and thats in a way what makes life and death an adventure, if you knew nothing waited behind a door but blackness would you enter it? or would you walk past it because well there is nothing there anyway. Adventure is noing that no matter what is in the room you want to see what awaits behind the door.

Religion is simply the guessing you know whats behind it and then being adventurous enough to open the door into blackness and seeing if you were right or wrong.

Why can you not leave a believe like that to religion. If you believe that it is the way your religion tells you, what harm does that do.
What do we have to gain with knowing exactly how the universe was created? It is not like we can change anything about it, or even know for sure.
