Potions and Robes
I have the Master Book of Herbalism by Paul Beryl. There is lots of great information in there for making infusions, decoctions, poultices, incence and more. He describes a lot of the more common and useful herbs (as there are over 800 he didn't feel he had time) in both a healing and magical manner. It's a great book in my opinion.

Robe color, as far as I remember, is broken down as a way of showing what you are working or seeking knowledge of. Black is cosmic and reprisents questing for the greater knowledge of energy and the workings of universal truths.
I will research and find the article I read on it.
MorningFate. Yes you can. Mine is homade. It started it's life as a costume my mother made for me (She's a seemstress so I hired her instead of bungling it away myself.) but it has since evolved into greater purpouses.

The greatest advice I was ever given: It matters not what you believe. Only that you believe it wholeheartedly.
