Moon Phases

Postby Baratoz » Sun Nov 19, 2006 10:16 pm

Does anyone know how long a New Moon or Full Moon last for rituals?

I read somewhere that it very short and the new moon begins waning as soon as it reaches the dark and a full moon begins waxing as soon as it reaches full. The books I have don’t mention it.

For a full moon you pretty much have 2 or 3 days before and after. I don't know for sure with a new moon, but it's probably the same.

the web site wiccanway.com has the moon phases on the home page. The times for the exact phase in your part of the world might be on a local weather site. Good luck.

I like LunaBar. It's is a nifty little program that shows the moon phase and other astrological information in your taskbar. It's very convenient and free to download. If you're interested, here is the website: http://infra-azure.org/lunabar/downloads.html
