this is going to make me sound like a four-year-old but i have a little rubber ducky that lights up when you touch both the little metal parts on the bottom. it won't light up unless the circut is completed. this morning i had it on a wooden table nowhere near anything metal and i went to get my chapstick it was lit up. then it turned off again but the next time i went in it lit up as well.
i know that nothing on the table could have set it off, because the only thing the metal parts were touching was the wood. it kinda freaked me out dose ne1 know wut it was?
ducky
Re: ducky
It doesn't take much to complete the circuit of the toy. Human skin has a somewhat high resistance to electricity, so the current that flows through the circuit when you touch the two metal points is very low. Any kind of moisture or conductive residue on the table or toy could complete the circuit. Since it seems to activate when you enter the room, I would guess the vibration of you walking into the room probably rocks the toy slightly to where the metal points make contact to turn it on. I would suggest moving it to a different spot with something like a towel underneath it. If it still does it, then there is a loose wire inside it or it is possessed.this is going to make me sound like a four-year-old but i have a little rubber ducky that lights up when you touch both the little metal parts on the bottom. it won't light up unless the circut is completed. this morning i had it on a wooden table nowhere near anything metal and i went to get my chapstick it was lit up. then it turned off again but the next time i went in it lit up as well.

Only through silence can we truly hear the words of the Goddess and God.
Toys like your rubber ducky work the same way as circuit testers, the kind that check for potential for current rather than the current itself. The one I used when I was working for the City would light up when I tapped it against my palm or shook it, though it was only supposed to light up when I stuck in on a live wire.
I have to comment though, and this is just a pet peeve I suppose... you don't sound like a 4 year old because you have a little rubber ducky. You sound like a 4 year old when you type like this:

I suppose you're right. But then, I don't do a great job of paying attention to how adults should act in the adult world. It gets me in trouble sometimes lol.
And I didn't think it was bad that you liked that movie so much, I just didn't expect it to be your favorite
I figured you'd have more dark and mysterious tastes!

oh but i do, very much so. but i loved this movie before i became evil...and i kind of relate to the main character. But like with all people certain qualities can't help but make themselves known, while others are ever-present but dont get thier moment in the light as much as they may deserve and they are rarely seen and appreciated on the outside because no-one thinks to look for them.

i love it when an adult acts childish, so long as its not too often that they become extremely irritating, but its good to know if they can do it.
