I got a lot of my medicinal knowledge from my grandmother, here, when she was growing up, it cost too much to get a doctor, so everyone knew or knew of someone who could help with herbal and natural remedies. A sad inditement of poverty, when it was easier to get a priest for the sick than medical help. I think all medicine should be provided free, I hate the big corporate industry in health. Rant over.Sorry. I'm interested in herbal information, I like it when people on here recommend their own successful recipes, It's real experience, which I value most.

Thanks for all the imput everyone. Much appreciated.

With fragrant oils can I use them for anything else but for burning? Such as making a room spray, as a perfume, in the bath, etc. Or is best to do those things with EO's?

Can you put tea tree, eucalyptus & lavender EO's directly on the skin? I keep reading you can & you can't. I have in the past used tea tree oil to get rid of a zit & it did work so I assume that it's OK. Are there any others that may be OK? I do know that most EO's should NOT be used directly on the skin.

Eucalyptus will burn the HELL out of you if used "neat" (straight from the bottle). the others are fine.
