A few new poems, enjoy!!

Postby Wolf Heart » Wed Oct 31, 2007 9:06 am

So once again here are a few of my poems, these I have written just recently after getting a nice flow of inspiration. Enjoy, and don't be afraid to be brutally honest.

This first poem is not my usual style, I prefer to rhyme in my poetry but this one just sorta came to me.

Mother Earth

She sits,
Pondering,
Wondering.
What has her beautiful
Most precious
World come to?
Mother of us all,
Nature in her grasp.
She has gifted us with
Life.
And gifted us with,
Death, peaceful rest.
She sits,
Pondering,
Wondering.
She is crying.
Taken for granted
Shunned and ignored.
Her world is crumbling.
The trees cry
Their pain and misery,
To her.
She sits,
Pondering,
Wondering.
She is dying.

Lady Winter

When the clouds are rolling,
And turn so deep grey.
The night decends,
Closing in on the day.

She lays a blanket of cold,
With a heavy cry.
The flowers all wither,
And leaves start to die.

When she embraces the earth,
The waters all turn to stone.
She hides away, frozen,
She's all alone.

Lady winter has come,
And she will not let us forget,
The harsh cold bitterness
Of the winter's threat.

The Fairy Queen

Sleep my child
And you might see,
The mystical world
Of the Fairy Queen.
Where dreams are found
And dragons slumber.
If your pure enough
You might just see her.
She dances on a lily's pad.
Flies with ravens in the skies.
She sings a tune with nightengales.
With the wolves is where she lies.
The Fairy Queen can heal a scar,
She can kiss away your fears.
She'll chase away your dark dreams,
And keep away your tears.
She can do many things.
But how do you precieve
A fairy who will only live,
If you can learn to believe.

Winter

Trees grow cold
and leaves turn red.
Little drops of blood,
to remind us, summer's dead.
The air is crisp,
leaving clouds of breath
tumbling from
the mouth of death.
The flowers have gone,
and the birds flown away.
Old man winter has come,
to replace my sunny days.
The ground has become
so plush and white.
My eyes are blinded
by it's unrelenting light.
Winter has come
and soon it will pass.
And I will rest.
Finally -- at last.

That's just a few, I especially love the last one "Winter" it is one of my top fav poems that I've ever written.

Blessed Be,

I really enjoy your writing. You have a gift for it. Thank you for sharing your gift with us.
...not all who wander are lost... (tolkein)

I am the daughter of Earth and Water
and the nursling of the sky-
I pass through the pores of the oceans and shores
I change, but I never die.

Thank you very much. I have been writing poetry since I was nine years old. Of course then it was much more childish. Writing is a big part of who I am, if I don't write something I feel as though I'd explode!

Again thanks for your kind words.

Blessed Be,
Wolf Heart
