This is a poem I remember from my younger days. I did not write it, but it has a great meaning...has anyone else heard it?
I felt at the start
That the distance apart
would melt like yesterday's tears.
But, one step
then two
and before we both knew
The steps turned to miles and then years.
I can't say
why you're not mine today
when I don't have it clear in my mind.
We both felt the same
there's no one to blame,
maybe together is just a hard place to find.

...not all who wander are lost... (tolkein)
I am the daughter of Earth and Water
and the nursling of the sky-
I pass through the pores of the oceans and shores
I change, but I never die.
