Sincerely Yours (Poem to the President)

Postby Wolf Heart » Fri Dec 14, 2007 10:53 pm

Okay so I'm not a big fan of President Bush as you'll see in this poem. Please no bashing, if you'd like to state your opinion on the man be my guest, I don't mean to offend anyone...except Bush.

"Dear President Sir"

Dear President Sir
So many hold you high
They worship you
Throwing your name to the sky!

You preach and praise
Tell us how to live.
Look! The puppets follow
The orders that you give.

So many are dying
They die just for you!
Aren't you so lucky,
But, what did you do?

When real war was here,
You hid like a fool.
Daddy saved your ass,
So you could live to rule.

And rule you do.
Making others fight
For a petty grudge,
You know nothing of real plight.

Tell me President Sir,
Are you proud,
When you stand and lie
Before every crowd.

I see your true self,
Hiding from, and causing wars.
You are, bluntly, an idiot.
Sincerely Yours,

Me

You know from that, I don't feel agression...just some sadness.

I don't know Bush so I can't comment on that aspect. But I can say that I tend to love some of you're works and I love this one too.

*nods* and they were, for lack of a better term, crucified for the things that they said. *sighs* I still listen to them proudly!

Thank you for your wonderful comments on my work.

Sobek, sorry for what? I'm guessing you meant for the topic to lead somewhere else, that's fine! I to continued listening to the Dixie Chicks if not more so after they said that, haha. I absolutely love the song they wrote in response to all the hate "I'm Not Ready To Make Nice" a wonderful song.

I liked it. I too, felt saddened. You have talent.
...not all who wander are lost... (tolkein)

I am the daughter of Earth and Water
and the nursling of the sky-
I pass through the pores of the oceans and shores
I change, but I never die.
