I personally liked Bush. Anyway, congratulations to Mr. Obama, and here's hoping his presidency runs well.

I think we should keep this positive, rather than use it to rag on someone you don't like. Bush was a very good man after all. My parents had the chance to meet him.

Hmmm, taboo subject here. My mother always told me to never discuss politics, religion or abortion publicly-- and I've always kept to that.

Granted... this is a religious forum itself anyhow, so I suppose a light-hearted discussion on any matter wouldn't be *too* taboo. :28:

That said, I completely agree with AzureImpaler: this forum is a place of positive discussion, not a place to insult someone or something you're not fond of. Everyone has their own opinions and everyone is entitled to have their own... When you make insulting remarks, you're undoubtedly making someone else feel bad about their opinions... and you're allowing yourself to sound less reputable because you feel a need to publicly bash someone.

(For the record, I liked Bush too. But even if I hadn't, I wouldn't take the opportunity to say something negative about him. Silence here, isn't in agreement or pacifism, it's done so out of respect.)

I wasn't a Bush fan, but I don't think he deserves to go to jail.

I'm really happy as well. I got to watch the inauguration in Creative Crafts class... I couldn't stop smiling.
