Water in the Desert

Postby sociopathic_leo » Sun Feb 01, 2009 3:30 am

You’re awakened each morning
By the sunlight from the window
It’s humble rays guide you
It’s warmth cradles you
But you deny all love

As the sun’s guiding rays
Pull me away from you
I find a yellow desert
Warm and sunny, but lifeless
And you are my water
Distant but in my dreams

As I crawl, this yellow path
Smothered by the warmth you deny
I dream of falling water
Glistening in the sunlight
Filling the cracks in the sand

I long for tears, made of you
Your substance, your soul
But in this yellow desert
The heat drinks all
