Just last night I had this dream where I was in love with this young man, (i was older than I am now in the dream). And either we had a kid or it was one of our siblings, but we treated him like he was our own child. Well it was like i came back to them after being gone for a long time or something like that and then later in the dream the man that i was in love with started to drown. I tried to save him and I'm pretty sure that i was successful. Then the next thing that i know I'm getting pulled down by something and there is just all of these things happening and happened so fast. Well my lover attacked and I think killed the beast and then the rest of the dream is a bit of a fog.
Any reasons as to why i might have a dream like this?

I know I pretty much just joined this forum, but I adore dream interpretation, and would love to take a stab at yours.
I feel this dream may be representative of a notion of peace you may be hopeful in obtaining in your life, or a certain contentment that are currently experiencing.
Now, it's hard to tell from the details, but the man may be a metaphor for that sense of happiness (maybe even a real relationship you are in or have a desire to be in), and his imminent drowning may be your anxiety in having this contentment taken from you. You attempt to save him, only to suddenly be attacked by a strange beast! Yet again your peace is being threatened head-on!
Perhaps you are entering a situation in your life that seems somewhat troubling to you, and you worry that it might change your comfortable state of being, and this is the way your subconscious is trying to express that anxiety.
Nevertheless, be safe! And I hope that was not completely off the mark. XD
