Well I was just curious on everyone's take I'm sure you've all...or MOST of you have been watching the news and seen her at least...I think that she should be deemed unfit to take care of all her children, the children should then be adopted by parents who will show them the love and attention they need. Meanwhile, Octo Mom should be forced to have her tubes tied or something or at least her name should be blacklisted and pregnancy clinics, and that it shouldn't be coming from our pockets as taxpayers to take care of her, she knew what she was getting into and still is going to expensive stores buying expensive cosmetics while the threat of her home being foreclosed is imminent.

...And besides the cosmetics, don't forget the apparent collagen injections she gets in an attempt to look more like her idol, Angelina Jolie! (ick).

Yes, there is something seriously wrong with this woman, and more so with the physician who has performed the fertility procedure on her twice... which first resulted in 6 children and now 8 more. She seems to have her "in" with the welfare system secure though... her continually making babies is definitely cementing her position as "needy" because of the great old adage, "Won't somebody think of the children?" They are really the helpless victims here, and that's the most unfortunate part.

Though, I agree with you- her leeching off of our tax money is disgusting. Granted, I don't know this woman, but I do think that either she's a cunning manipulator, manipulating the welfare system and people by spreading the word of her sob-story and begging for donations because of her irresponsible actions... or she has a legitimate mental problem which is causing her to continually want to make more babies (a lot of that may come from her 'needing to feel unconditionally loved' and children provide that for a lot of these people suffering from that type of mental defect.) Either way, she clearly isn't making decisions that are in the best interest of her kids at all, and to eliminate the innocent victims being the only victims here, I think she should definitely lose her kids to the Child Protective Services -there are millions of people out there who would give their right arm to be able to adopt a newborn... and she has 8 that she can't take care of. Why not place these kids with families who would not only love them and care for them, but who can actually afford to have them and give them a chance at having a good life?

I'm not in favor of any governmental intervention with a woman's (or man's) body, right to choose, etc.... so no, I don't think she should be considered for a court-ordered tube-tying, nor do I think she should have her rights to conception "restricted" ...I do think she needs to be evaluated by a qualified team of psychiatrists though, and there needs to be very frequent involvement and inspections done by the CPS on a regular basis to assure she is able to take care of her children. If ever she can't, I think she should lose her rights of parenting that child/children. She (herself) also needs to not be a recipient of any government money, but rather only the recipient of a job-training program so she can get a job to support the kids she continually keeps having. Just like with receiving unemployment payments, she too needs to show weekly proof that she's applying for jobs that are within her reach and skill level; or all government funding stops. (In which case, the CPS would take the kids because she can't support them or even feed them, if all those factors were present.)

That doctor of hers needs to be legally and morally investigated as well.


--This is all such a disgusting situation... I hope the kids aren't the ones left suffering in the end.
