Last night or...rather this morning when I finally went to sleep, I had only been asleep for about an hour. Yet, it felt as though I had been in a thousand year slumber. That has never happened before...When I was awakened by one of my roomates, I just knew I'd slept forever but it'd only been about an hour give or take 10 minutes or so.
In my dream though, I seemed to be in a church of some sort, I had been a high priest, who's power had been usurped by another. I was about to be taken away by guards, when I screamed, "Fight me! Fight me! Traitorous coward!" Only it wasn't my voice, yet when I went into...like a 3rd person view, the person looked very similar to me.
The traitor priest made his way from the altar, down the aisle to me. As he approached with a sword he stabbed me in the left side of my stomach, and it felt so real, and I went back into first person view. I slipped a hidden dagger from my sleeve and stabbed him in his heart-that his when my roomate woke me up, and in the dream, when I was being disturbed I felt a snap...kinda like when in astral travel if you just snap out of it, the feeling of being jerked away.
He left my room, I felt wide awake, but even when I closed my eyes I could see things as though I was dreaming...I appeared to have a rather large calendar in front of me showing, May 2009--I had a flash of something appearing in the sky in the fading light of the sun. June 2009--I can't remember what was seen. July 2009--the words 'A.I.D.S. epidemic' flashed. My other roomate came to lie down with me because his room has too much light in it and mine is the darkest so I was disturbed once more, thus ending these visions with the calender showing August 2009.

Hmm. I really can't make heads or tails of this. The calender seems prophetic. You've had premonitions before?Last night or...rather this morning when I finally went to sleep, I had only been asleep for about an hour. The fact that you could read clear English int he dream is surprising to say the least...
Personally I would chalk this up to a messed up mind wander... I've had a few of those in my life. See if you have similar dreams in the future. If you do, maybe note down what you were watching/reading before you tried to sleep. Or even stray thoughts you were having. You may have been directed dreaming and not have known it.

The reason I say its surprising is that when your asleep the left hemisphere of the brain is mostly dormant, while the right hemisphere is active. The left side is responsible for logic, cognitive thinking, understanding and learning. That side also for the most part includes language comprehension and symbolic association. The right side is the creative half of the brain.
Generally speaking if your asleep then any text you see should be in gibberish.
