Finally!

About 3 weeks back I met a mayan astrologer who told me that I needed to explore using my divination powers. I told her I felt stifled in that area because I had only ever used Tarot cards, and they didn't seem to work that well for me.


Well, yesterday for my birthday, my bestie Amalia bought me a Amethyst Pendulum and brought it to me at work.


When I got home, I immediately lit candles, incense, and started meditating to ground myself.

Once I felt calm and serene, I sat on the hard floor, and rested my right forearm and my knee ( I was sitting with my back against my bed, and my knees bent up.)

So my arm was completely stationary. I let the pendulum hang and let me wrist go limp. There's not much chain attatched to the crystal so it was only held between my forefinger and thumb.

I started asking aloud "what should I ask"

And the pendulum starting swinging, back and forth.

the way I understand that they work is that, they swing clockwise for "yes", counterclockwise for "no", and swing back and forth in a neutral position while the diviner is thinking.


So it swung, on its own. Little movements at first but then gained speed.

So I stated " My Name is Tara Avila." And it swung clockwise. Heavily. I could feel the turns from the chain going up my hand and wrist, like energy.

I couldn't think of another question. When I lost concentration of the first question, it swung back and forth again. So I said "I'm 17 years old" I felt like it was correct. (I guess it still hasn't clicked that I'm 18)

It swung counterclockwise. I was confused, and then I remebered oh shit I just turned 18!!

Then it went back to neutral. I kept asking questions, and it swung correct every single time.

It was giving me goosebumps.

My fiance was asleep behind me so I woke him up and told him to watch.

He's like, you're moving it aren't you?

But I told him no, watch my hand the whole time. He saw that it didn't move a hair. And he saw it swing when I asked questions.

He wanted to try it out. I don't know his mom's middle name. So I told him " tell me a middle name, whether it be true or fake, and we'll see the answer."

He said okay is my mothers middle name caroline.

So I focused and asked, "is caseys mothers middle name Caroline."

It swung counterclockwise.

I told him, no that's not her middle name is it?

He said, no. Its not.



I'm so happy and feel so impowered with this new found energy and tool.


I can't wait to use it in everyday life!!

Thank you! I definatly will.

I'm going to try to suspend it from other places, like a doorknob or a hanger and work on using energy and see if it moves as well.

I heard that was a way to experiement with your powers, but it confused me, because I thought that it had to be help by the diviner, in order the gain their inner self guidence's energy, which makes the pendulum swing. :/

Who knows?

I can't wait to get more experienced with it.

I would be careful to pace yourself. I have a friend of mine who has a knack with oracle cards, after doing a bunch of readings, she had a bad headache. She put the cards down and started doing something else, the headache went away, and for a few hours when she looked at the cards the headache came back.
