A Recurring Experience

I'm curious what everyone thinks of this. I often have this experience where I am asleep and am awakened suddenly (REALLY suddenly) by a sharp sudden stabbing pain in my lower back that literally makes me gasp and then its over. Its not like a back ache. Its just like a stab, a gasp,and then its over. No lingering pain or ache. Somehow it doesn't seem like a back problem. What's your opinion. Could it be like an OBE re-entering my body or a past life memory or something?
