My dreams have been recurring, as of late. I don't remember a whole lot about them other than they all have the same end result, death.
In most of them, I am the one who dies...there is one that struck me the most because it felt so real. I even remember...my mother on the phone...crying actually. I dunno, I guess I just find it odd as they all end the same...although in a few dreams it was someone else who died, I just can't seem to remember who, exactly...or even if that part was revealed to me. However, it has gotten to the point where I don't even like to sleep. Which is further disrupting my already odd sleep pattern.

Well, I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble sleeping and are having haunting dreams, Shadow Phoenix. I am too, at the moment... and have never been a stranger to it either, so I know how awful it can be.
That said, the key to stopping these reoccurring dreams is in understanding the dream's message. Our dreams are our subconscious' way of bringing things to the forefront that it feels we need to deal with and process during our waking lives. I'd definitely not say you're having a premonition-type dream where you are soon going to be dead, but rather you are dreaming of a concern, feeling a suppressed rage, or are dreaming about qualities of yourself you don't like and want to have or be 'dead'.
Never hurts to go into the doctor for a check up and some blood work though, just to be on the safe side.
Death in a dream represents a few different things- first, and most common being a 'dream of desire'-- the dreamer desires to eradicate those qualities he or she doesn't like about themselves. What were you doing/where were you/how were you acting in these dreams where your dream ended with the coming of your death? Try to investigate the "you" in the dreams for more answers. If you were doing a similar thing or were talking to similar people, etc., the answer of the quality within yourself that is plaguing you, should be there.
The other, less common dream reference when dreaming of death is that of a suppressed anger or rage. Are you upset with yourself? People who are really hard on themselves for making an error or what have you, are the types who literally torture themselves in their dream world.
Hope that helps some.
Lastly, something that actually helps me not dream of reoccurring "bad-things" is to consciously think about the subject as your last waking thought. I'm not sure why this works... or if it works for anyone else but me, but I like to think that it's the concept of conscious thought into subconscious thought- I am thinking about it consciously, it's the thought that follows me into my sleep state; so therefore, there's no need to dream about it. :28:
~Worth a try at least, right?
Bright Blessings to you, and pleasant dreams~

Well, I must say, it all started when I followed what someone told me I should do...it's a buddhist thing...I think. He advised me to, before I go to sleep, to ask my spirit guides to return to me, the scattered shards of my soul. Every night that I do this...I have a dream. He did say, however, that this is something I would experience for a little while. I know it's not a premonition dream, as I've had several of those before...much..more clear perhaps? I haven't a proper term for it.
