I had this dream the night of April 14th, 2009...actually it may have been early morning the 15th, the day when taxes officially are due here in the US. I would have posted the dream at another forum soon after dreaming it, except I was too uncertain about whether the dream meant something good or bad. So, I waited for a time to see how things were shaping up...might be a little of both. This is my first time posting it anywhere.
For many years my main job was in construction, framing new homes...so, it has a strong symbolism here.
I dreamed that I was helping get ready a footer of a concrete foundation for a new home. In this dream I could see myself working, in the basement hole and taking off the wood forms as you normally do the next day after pouring the cement.
Looking at the new footer, which soon would have basement foundation walls poured on, noticed something unusual happening. At first there seemed to be some water seeping up through the ground...perhaps we didn't realize a spring was just below the floor. In clay soil springs do in certain places come up like that after a basement hole is dug. Then the footer should be poured double thickness with plenty of reinforcement bar for stength...maybe even pilings.
I looked again but now steam was coming out of the ground, like a geyser ready to turn loose an eruption you see at Yellowstone National Park. I thought it would be best to grab my lunch pail and leave before something happens. Just then the groundd began to shake like an earthquake...got out of there quick leaving my lunch pail behind.
Up now above where it was safe, one of the guys who also worked on the footer brought me my lunch pail, he grabbed it while getting out quickly, just as I did.
All of a sudden the earth began to really shake, it seemed as if a volcano was forming in the basement hole. The hole started filling up with mud, as steam and hunks of mud were spewed into the air from the hole. I looked but didn't actually see any volcano or lava flowing out...it was still just steam and mud.
Everyone began to quickly run far away to escape whatever strange event seemed about to happen.

Hi Cherokeewind! It's really good to see you back here posting! I missed you're presence and wisdom!
On your dream: I think there's a couple of different ways to look at it. Of course only you can know what the correct interpretation is but here goes:
1) The obvious one is "It is a foolish man who built his house upon the sand". Clay will certainly do in this case but it just might be telling you that what you've started to build could be on better footing or more well-founded. A recent or even anticipated project or event somewhere in your Life? Something the may appear to be a good thing or move but in reality is on shaky ground-at least at this time and place.
2) Major and unexpected changes are about to come about-probably from a seemingly insignificant thing or event. If you act quickly you will avoid being caught up in it.
3) You made a wrong choice for the right reason or a right choice but for the wrong reason.
Just some thoughts. Again, I'm glad to see you back! Blessings to you on The Way!

Good news!
It is a long story, but it began before I'd joined the forum here. I'm running out of time to explain tonight, but I had a lot of money loaned out to my parents because of a situation they got into...both parents are in their 70s. Last Friday I got all of it back and it was put into a 12 month CD at the bank. The interest my bank gave me wasn't too bad either, I'll have to check...but I think was 1.87 percent. It is called a freedom CD, something my bank now offers, if the interest rate goes up, I can get it put into a new CD, except you must leave $5,000 in the original CD. So, that is no problem...as I mentioned, this was a lot of money. Funny it happened on Sept 11th. I was not expecting to get any back in the near future or even uncertain about recovering any, since both parents are on social security.
