Reoccurring Dream

Postby izzybit » Thu Nov 12, 2009 12:16 am

Ok so I was wondering if anyone had some advise for a way to help remember dreams. I often experience reoccurring dreams but can’t remember any more then a few insignificant details at a time. What’s the best way to encourage remembrance or to help retain information from a dream?

Might I suggest keeping a dream journal?

I have been doing that exact thing for a project for my psychology class. When I wake up I try to write everything I remember or feel from the dreams. The reoccurring dream is me in a park, but its from the perspective of seeing through my eyes, instead of how my dreams normally work where I am just observing a situation. So I guess I should Ask what’s the best way to help clarify what I dreamt about?
And Thank you for replying to my question Melindrose!

In addition to the dream journal and pillow, might I suggest setting your alarm 10 minutes earlier than usual? Spend those ten minutes laying in bed recalling your dream and thinking back through it, before writing it down. It's a lot easier to remember your dreams in that half-asleep state.
