I can't FEEL the energy. Help?

Alright you guys, I think that would be best. I'll take a short break, and be sure to do a nature walk or go to the park.
I'll try to incorporate pole standing into my meditation, something I will continue during my break, if i feel I need to do so.
So consider this my farewell. For perhaps a week, maybe two, I won't be around. I'll see you guys when I get back, maybe I'll start a blog here so I can ramble on about my break.

I've been magick free for about a week.
Really sucked when I lost my sunglasses and couldn't use my pendulum to find them.
But I'm going to stick it out another week. I really miss you guiz.

Alright, I know this thread has somewhat turned into the "crowfeather is taking a break" so I'll keep it short.
I'm coming back a day or two early, because I've recieved a PM for a reading that can't wait for my vacation to end.
I'm going try new exercises now after my break, and hopefully I'll see results.

Okay then welcome back and back to your topic.

The reason I recommend zhan zhuang for you (or any sort of emptiness meditation, zhan zhuang martial arts oriented since you mentioned karate). Trying to feel and force is a fire method and for you may be inhibiting the experience of energy flow, so be water don't try to think, feel or move energy dissolve your mind and bodies resistance, just let go til you don't have to wonder what you're feeling and what to do with it, you know, energy knows how to flow just surrender to it washing over you. Try it at a cool time of the day or out in nature near actual water.
Alicat, I diddn't know that 'feel and force' was fire oriented?! I'll try this 'no mind' energy technique.
Out of curiosity, is there an air or earth method as well? I've always been air oriented.

A logical question since you're air oriented. To keep the answer pretty simple, I'm using Taoist terminology which was probably confusing since you are used to the Western elemental system. So water would be yin methods and fire would be yang, so most energy work could be classified into these two methods. Most Western methods pretty yang oriented, shamanism could be more yin or water if the practitioner is basically acting as a conduit for the divine.

So if you're air oriented, yin or water methods good for you to quiet excessive thinking and develop your intuition. I could tell you about 5 element theory and energetic body in Chinese system too and that would make it all clear as mud, because it gets pretty complicated. So don't worry about and try the practice- if you want to. Consider getting rid of that 7 chakra system for a while too, it can be useful and you can come back to it, but a lot more to your personal energy than that so experience it as it is before trying to fit into your expectations- again if you want to.
*nods* alright. That makes sense. I'll try to ignore the chakra system and see how I feel as a single personal energy. Thanks for all your help, I'll tell you how it works out.
