Interesting... I would put my beliefs in line with something another member mentioned somewhere.. a book called "the secret" i think... From what they said it sounds like what i would believe.
My thoughts are based mainly on two things, one is the magickal essence of energy, and the other is quantum physics, of which i know little but enough to know that scientifically magick is indeed possible, which is enough for me to learn more!
Then there is "the feeling" that you cant describe but you know that the world goes deeper than what you see with your eyes and feel with your hands, there is more, deeper layers just out of reach.... I wish i had all the answers!!

Another idea is to bring the outside in to you. It may sound crazy and messy, it is messy but completely worth it. If you feel closer to earth when you ground, put the earth on your bedroom floor.
When my grandmother first taught me to ground myself, I was having trouble so, she went outside and collected all the left over grass that had been cut that morning. She brought it to my room and scattered all over the floor, then had me lay on top of it looking up at the ceiling. The fresh cut grass smell was incredible and had me grounded promptly.
Now if I am having a bad day, I just remember that smell of the fresh cut grass that day.
Cedar also works well for me.

Yep I agree with you completely as my beliefs with coincide with the same two ideas, although I;m not a fan of "The Secret" though I believe it's message is true, just incomplete.Interesting... If your interested about the science behind it all I would suggest two books. One is called "The Intention experiment" which directly relates how the power of intention can exist scientifically using only scientific data and studies. The second is a book called "The black hole war" which is purely about quantum physics however if you read it through a spiritual lens it makes sense in a probably unintended way.

Thanks for the tips, ill see what i can find, as much as i would like to think of magick as "magical" im convinced it is purely a natural thing that we have yet to discover with science in much the same way that 500 years ago radio waves wouldve been called magick.
It does take away some of the specialness to think that way though!
Interesting about bringing the outside in... I think instead of doing that i may get some crystals or stones.
I had moderate success last night, i read silver raven wolf's "charge of the goddess" story version and it felt very powerful, i visualised the basic concept (meeting in a hidden clearing with others under a full moon on midsummer's eve and then the silvery goddess appearing and empowering everyone) and i did feel energized, which is strange as i dont believe in a sentient entity that you could describe as a god or goddess, perhaps it represents the female energy (despite being male i enjoy the company of women much more than men, and not just in *that* way! Men are just boring and cold, sorry guys
)
It's something i need to look at further, but i will see if i can find any info on those books, xal, as they sound like exactly what i want to read!

I've taken a look at the intention experiment website (just google it) and it is very interesting... While i would prefer to have seen the scientists as complete skeptics and ending with "we cant explain this" rather than "I believe this will work, lets try it, oh i was right" the statistical validity of their results is very impressive! They achieved a validity of about 99.3% (i think written as p<0.007 or similar) which means that there was a 0.7% chance of their results happening out of pure luck which is a bloody good score for something like this! Some of their experiments got an even better rating.
I was hoping for a wiki entry on the experiments as usually there are some real experts that crunch the numbers and highlight any flaws but the article isnt made yet
Thanks for pointing that out to me though, its something i will look into! If you have any more scientific studies on the paranomal then feel free to PM me or mention them in this thread! Im skeptical about parapsychology as half the the time the researchers are believers which means they could easily massage or unintentionally affect the results, but with scientific skeptics the "i dont know" is like pure gold!

Xal, I got this feeling as well. Do some research on Abraham-Hicks. It feels like this channeled collective really explains the missing parts of that movie.

All I know is I love you.
That's about all I can do.

It seems very difficult to find scientist who study parapsychology type things with and open mind since the scientific community seems to be pretty polarized on the issue. Though the book that I mentioned while the author does support the notion she does talk about one of the biggest studies that showed failure.I've taken a look at the intention experiment website (just google it) and it is very interesting... If this sort of thing interest you, you can also look at the The Institute of Noetic Sciences, website. http://www.noetic.org/
It's basically an organization dedicating to proving the power of intention through scientific means, and they have some pretty big backing. They also play a big part in the newest Dan Brown book, The Lost Symbol.

Yes, she definitely has a lot of the other information that The Secret didn't talk about.Xal, I got this feeling as well. Do some research on Abraham-Hicks. It feels like this channeled collective really explains the missing parts of that movie.

Also I didn't like the way it was marketed, with the idea that there was some super secret that people were fighting and dieing over and was being kept from you by some conspiracy.
I didn't read the book but in the movie they just talk about it with no explanation or any sort of data with the exception of people just telling personal stories about it which I thought was kind of lame.
But I guess it did make the idea of intention more mainstream so it can be commended for doing that.
