You have all been very helpful, thank you. I have watched him sleep and didn't see anything out of the ordinary happen, maybe there is a spirit I can't see and making it hard to tell what's realy going on

If you are highly spiritual you may try calling on Lord Rama for protection while you sleep. Also, you can simply ask spirit to provide the perfect being to protect you at night while you sleep, one of a good nature.
