Cats are not able to metabolizes many human foods. I recommend checking with a veterinarian or at least, a veterinary Web site before giving your cats natural remedies. My research indicates that vegetable glycerin is toxic to cats. Please don't lose your fur babies unnecessarily.

I hope I wasn't mistaken by when I said essential oils, to have the cats ingest it. It would be for topical use.

Even with topical use, the cats might ingest it when they're bathing.

I've looked up a bunch, and it said you can use essential oila but it needs to be diluted to a 1% solution. Otherwise it could make them sick.

Was this just for cats? Or dogs as well? I'm fleabombing my house tmmw, and I might be doing an essential oil rub for my two dogs.

How do you apply the tea tree oil?
I mixed a less than 1% solution (as the 1% still seemed quite strong) and coated their collars in it, and put a few drops at highly affected arreas :) I hope it helps them. I also have dried citronella I've been rubbing them down with.
